Positioned on top of a hill and in the vicinity of the Nyungwe National Park, the Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel offers a magnificent view of the forest.
Nyungwe National Park hosts more than 300 bird species, including 29 Albertine Rift endemicsnand the quasi-endemic Red-collared Mountain Babbler. The Hotel’s ideal location close to the Park allows for a fantastic birdwatching experience.
You can easily sight the Albertine Rift endemics from the garden of the Hotel, such as the Regal Sunbird and Rwenzori Batis, and other stunning species such as the Black-and-white-casqued Hornbill, Crowned Hornbill and Northern Double-collared Sunbird.
You can also enjoy tracking Chimpanzees in the Cyamudongo forest or visit the Nyungwe National Park to enjoy other activities, such as the Canopy walkway, waterfalls, hiking.
In less than an hour, you can drive to Lake Kivu, Rwanda’s biggest Lake. Here you can relax and spot waders and waterbird species, such as the Common Sandpiper, Great Cormorant, Common Sandpiper, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers.
